4. What documents do I need to bring?

All hirers must bring their UK driving licence (card).  The DVLA no longer issue paper counterparts, so in order to check any endorsements on your licence, we will need you to visit https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving-record/licence-number  and create a code to share your licence details with us.  If you are unable to do this, we can use a premium rate phone number to check, but we will charge you £4 for doing this.  A second proof of ID is also required, and this must include your name and home address, and be dated within the last 3 months. A utility bill or bank statement are the most frequently used forms of ID.
If you have previously hired from us within the last 3 months then you do not need to bring any documents with you.

5. Is there a deposit?

A deposit of £250 is required with all hires. This must be paid on a debit or credit card, in addition to the hire charge. The deposit will be refunded on safe return of the vehicle. All deposit returns are processed on the day of return, but depending on the card issuer it may take up to 5 days for the funds to appear in your account.

6. What Does the insurance cover?

All our vehicles are insured with fully comprehensive insurance included in the price. Depending on the category of vehicle you hire, there is a policy excess of either £750 or £1000. This excess can be reduced by the purchase of a collision damage waiver at extra cost – please check with the office for current rates.

7. Who can drive the vehicle?

Only the hirer or authorised additional drivers can drive the vehicle. If you would like additional drivers to be added to the hire agreement, we must see a copy of their driving licence and add them to the rental agreement. They do not need to be present when the hire begins.
